The
eight Baekje patterns are the tiles which were carved
various patterns and features and then baked. The tiles
were excavated at the temple sight in Oe-ri, Gyuam-myeon,
Buyeo-gun. There are 8 patterns including a mountain landscape,
a mountain landscape and phoenix, a mountain landscape
and goblin, a lotus flower and goblin, a dragon, a phoenix,
a lotus flower, a lotus flower and clouds. The tile is
nearly a square, a side of the square is almost 29 cm
and 4 cm in thickness. There are grooves at each corners
and it was used to lay the tile on the floor or put on
the wall. You can make a copy of the eight Baekje patterns
and feel the mysterious Baekje culture in Buyeo just next
to Chunngnam Tourist Information Center.

This
is the game which throw 12 arrow-shaped poles into a small-mouthed
bronze jar about 2 m apart from the jar. The traditional
folk game originated from the Three Kingdoms period and
was played by royal families and nobles during the Joseon
Dynasty. The point to win the game is balance your shoulders
when you throw the poles. With increasing the number of
poles in a jar, you can call them 1 ho, 2 ho, 3 ho, so
on. Winning the game is called Hyeon, losing is called
Bulseung. The Tuho games are prepared next to the Chungnam
Tourist Information Center.

This
institute opened to conduct research and to provide education
on Korea's traditional culture and arts and to uphold
and develop them through performances and presentations
in public. A variety of classes are held at the institute
for instruction on, for example, the four percussion instruments
for farmers' music, farmers' music performances, folk
songs, mask dances, making rubbings, traditional wooden
handicrafts, and producing earthenware. Many people both
