Explanation
This is a gilt-bronze Buddhist
statue found during the investigation of Baekje
Period temple sites in Buyeo Gyuam-myeon in 1970.
The head surrounded by three-sided flower diadem,
body part engraved softly and beautifully and
lotus pedestrial expressed modestly are showing
the complete modeling beauty. Furthermore, downward
eyes and smile in the mouth overflow mercy of
this statue to the whole body. The beadwork crosses
in an 'X' and flows from the shoulder. The right
hand is holding a small bead with the thumb and
the index finger. The left hand is holding the
cloth. The beautiful smile, the figure of the
statue and sculpture reflects the time period
it was made in. This was made in the early seventh
century.
