The Charyeong Mountains pass through the northwest of Buyeo-gun, spread smoothly to the southeast, and are then reduced to plains along the Geumgang River.
Seongdaesan, Amisan, and Myeongsan Mountains rise high on the northwest. The Geumgang River flows south through the eastern part of the Gun, and large flood plains line its banks. The Guryong Plains, west of the river, are the granary of the Gun, due to their fertility and good irrigation.
